AccessGrid3

AG3 is the newest version of the Access Grid software. Many of the underlying technologies have been updated or re-engineered to conform to standard Internet technologies and protocols, to maximize robustness, performance, and interoperability. All network connections are encrypted by default, using an X509 certificate at the venue server; a certificate is not required by users.

This release includes a number of bug fixes, most notably to Shared Presentation and the bridging support.

AccessGrid2

AG2, first released in May 2003, was a complete reworking of the Access Grid software, replacing the web browser with a dedicated Venue Client, and making the server software available to the community in general. Users are identified with X509 certificates which are used to establish Globus-authenticated connections between client and server, and for performing access control.
